Thomas Anders, the lead singer of the German duo Modern Talking, will be heading to Israel next year for four shows around the country.
Anders will be appearing in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Haifa and Beersheba in February.
“I have a wonderful announcement, I’m coming to your country, I’m coming to Israel,” Anders says in a video promoting the concerts. “I hope you will be there – it will be in February 2019, so don’t miss it.”
Anders, who has performed in Israel several times in the past, became an international sensation in the 1980s when Modern Talking scored hits like “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul,” “You Can Win If You Want” and “Cheri, Cheri Lady.” The duo split up, then later reunited, and Anders has also released a series of solo albums.
Anders will appear at the Ashkelon Sports Arena on February 6, at the Haifa Congress Center on February 7, at Tel Aviv’s Charles Bronfman Auditorium on February 9 and at the Beersheba Performing Arts Center on February 10.
