Chief of the police West Bank District, Assistant-Chief  Uzi Levy, has informed the Police Commissioner Daniel Levi of his intention to resign after approximately 43 years of police service, the Police announced on Thursday.

Levy, 65 years old, served in various senior positions in the IDF before joining the Israel Police in 1981.

"The Police Commissioner honored the officer's request, wished him success in the future, and thanked him for his many years of contribution to Israel's security," the police announcement stated.

Additionally, police Traffic Division chief,  Inspector-General Yehuda Ben-Attar, has announced he will be on leave for studies, which will be part of his service, according to Ynet, effectively marking his retirement from operational duty.

Ben-Attar, 60, has served in security forces for approximately 42 years. He joined the Israel Police in 1982 and held various senior command positions.

Last week, the head of the police Intelligence Division, Dep.-Ch. Dror Assaraf announced his intention to step down from his role after a 35-year service.

Earlier this month, Northern District Police commander, Asst.-Ch. Shuki Tahauko, 56, announced his retirement after informing Police Commissioner Danny Levy of his intentions.
