Lufthansa Group to resume Tel Aviv flights starting later in June
Several airlines canceled flights to Israel following a Houthi missile strike on Ben-Gurion Airport in April.
The Lufthansa Group announced on Friday that airlines within the alliance will begin resuming flights to Israel as early as June 23.
The group consists of an alliance of airlines, including Lufthansa Airlines, ITA Airways, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, and Swiss International Air Lines.
ITA Airways announced that it will resume its Tel Aviv flights on July 7.
“The individual airlines intend to restart operations in waves,” it stated in a press release.

The airline said that it will continue to monitor the situation in the region and that its passengers, crews, and employees are its top priority.According to the company, the decision follows a thorough risk assessment and was made in coordination with the relevant authorities, Israeli public broadcaster KAN News reported on Friday.
