The report comes after a recent special International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report said that Iran had carried out multiple implosion tests.
Days earlier, Axios cited two Israeli officials who said that Jerusalem assured the White House it would not attack Iran's nuclear facilities unless US President Donald Trump signaled that negotiations with Iran had failed.
The Islamic Republic had also criticized Trump's travel ban on certain countries, claiming that it showed hostility towards Iranians and Muslims.
