Israeli psychic Uri Geller has threatened to stop activist Greta Thunberg as her Gaza aid flotilla continues its journey to Israel, telling The Jerusalem Post that he also is responsible for the navigation malfunctions on her ship, the Madleen.

"I stopped the navigation systems of the ship," explained Geller, who is also the owner of the Uri Geller Museum in Jaffa. He had warned on his X/Twitter account on Friday that he would use psychic powers to interfere with her ship. On Sunday, Israeli media reports showed that the navigation tools on the ship were malfunctioning, with the leader of the Freedom Flotilla ship accusing Israel of being behind it.

Though Israel did not claim to have done so, Defense Minister Israel Katz did warn that the IDF would not allow the ship to reach Gaza.

"I have instructed the IDF to act so that the Madleen flotilla does not reach Gaza. To Greta the antisemite and her friends, I say clearly: you'd better turn back – because you will not reach Gaza," Katz said in a statement, with sources telling the Post previously that Israel is set to intercept the ship when it reaches Gaza in the next 48 hours or so.

Geller, however, takes full credit for the ship's navigation errors. When asked how he did it, he told the Post that he utilized a technique known as remote viewing. This alleged paranormal ability is supposed to allow the user to project their mind elsewhere to be able to see distant people or places.

"Remote viewing is sending your mind through space and time," Geller said. "If I attach my psychokinetic energy through remote viewing, I can locate exactly where the navigational instruments are on her boat." He further explained that he has done it before. He has claimed to have used it to stop the clock on the Big Ben clocktower in London twice, and to have interfered with the Iran missile and drone attack on Israel in 2024.

"It's like a laser, like the IDF's new weapon, the Iron Beam. That's how powerful the mind is for some people."

Geller, who the CIA said presented his paranormal abilities in "a convincing and unambiguous manner" while being studied by them in the 1970s, compared remote viewing to drone piloting, noting that it just requires being in a dark room, often with a computer, and with a joystick.

"And in my case, I don't need a joystick. My joystick is my mind, and I can navigate my mind into whatever I want to."

Geller said he would not reveal if he interfered with the Madleen's navigation systems of his own volition, or if it was on behalf of the IDF.

Uri Geller calls Greta Thunberg a hypocrite

Geller further criticized Thunberg for what he perceived as hypocrisy on her part in her efforts to protest conditions in Gaza.

"Greta thinks she's heroic, but this is - in my opinion - just a publicity stunt. Everything she's doing is just a publicity stunt," he said.

"She's supposed to be the greatest environmental activist, but she's using a motorized vessel. She's belching out tons of CO2 on this journey, and she doesn't care. In my opinion, she's a hypocrite."

He further said, "I will warn her through The Jerusalem Post. Greta, if you come to harm Israel, Uri Geller is going to stop you."

Geller concluded the interview by adding, "I congratulate The Jerusalem Post on the most amazing website I have ever seen" in honor of the Post's new updated look.

The Jerusalem Post reached out to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition for comment.
