While Gates acknowledges that AI has the potential to do great good, depending on government intervention, he is equally concerned by the potential harms.

The billionaire philanthropist announced over Twitter that he will donate $20 billion from his personal wealth to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Microsoft said it received a complaint in 2019, while Gates was on the board, that he attempted to start a romantic relationship with an employee in 2000.

Gates noted that both he and Bennett (who had a successful hi-tech career) had realized that “innovation was the key” in their first careers. “Love that comparison!” Bennett interjected, laughing.

Of all the vaccine candidates in development, Gates believes AstraZeneca is the furthest along in creating an effective vaccine that is "inexpensive and highly dispersable."

The accounts, some of which have millions of active followers, were apparently hacked in order to spread a tweet seeking bitcoin donations by referring the user to a fake website.

"We need leaders to make these hard decisions about distributing based on equity, not just on market-driven factors."
