Combat Antisemitism Movement, a leading NGO and international network of 850 groups dedicated to combating antisemitism, applauded the reintroduction of the bill.

Israel commemorates its own Holocaust Remembrance Day in the spring, on the Hebrew date of the start of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. 

Given the UN’s declination to endorse the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism, CAM insisted that the definition is central to effectively combating antisemitism.

"I say to the former Prime Minister: You cannot control the past. You must live with it, and learn from it. Go and learn,” Menachem Margolin of the European Jewish Association said.

Among the exhibits at the site are a reproduction of sleeping cells from the Auschwitz death camp, artifacts and documents that belonged to survivors who fled the Nazis to Porto. 

The IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism offers a comprehensive understanding of Antisemitism, the definition includes 11 explanatory examples.

The White House antisemitism plan said that it acknowledges IHRA as the main definition of antisemitism but also acknowledged the existence of other definitions.

A number of organizations have said they are worried about the definition of antisemitism as portrayed in the 60-page national strategy plan.

If they are serious about combating antisemitism, they should stand firm against pressure to reject or minimize the IHRA definition.

The IHRA definition provides a comprehensive framework that not only identifies the various manifestations of antisemitism but also guides policymakers in formulating strategies to combat it.
