Pfizer Inc. is an American pharmaceutical company that made international headlines in 2020 for developing a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine that would reach the world. 

Founded by German immigrants and headquartered in New York, Pfizer produces and also develops a variety of medicines. Pfizer's CEO is Albert Bourla, a Sephardic Jew. 

On December 27, 2020, thousands of Pfizer vaccines arrived in Israel, kicking off the country's vaccination campaign.
